The Clarendon County Archives and History Center

The Clarendon County Archives, which opened in October of 1996, was established to collect, preserve and display the unique documents and artifacts which make up the history of the Clarendon County area. Located within the quaint confines of the Old Manning Library on N. Brooks Street in Manning, South Carolina, the archives houses books, personal papers, maps and photos, all of which provide insight into the cultural history of a small community of South Carolina.

The Archives and History Center recently completed renovation and repair work. Due to better temperature and humidity control you may want to bring a sweater or jacket when you visit. You can reach us by phone or by e-mail for more information. We are open to the public from 8:30 to 11:30am and 1 to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday's by appointment.
