Dispatcher

The primary duties will include, answering and dispatching 911 emergency calls for Clarendon County Sheriff’s Dept., Fire Dept. EMS, and local towns. Requires working on rotating shifts including evenings and weekends. Must be able to work under stressful situations and have the ability to work well with the public, state, and local law enforcement personnel.

Clerk II/Accounting Clerk/Receptionist

Under occasional supervision, provides prompt and friendly customer service through answering of the County switchboard system, acting as receptionist to the County Council offices within the Administrative Complex, providing general administrative support to the finance office (filing, incoming/outgoing mail, departmental supply requisitions), and coordination of the administrative “pool” vehicle.

Water and Sewer Department Begins Automatic Bank Draft Payments

Beginning January 1, 2024, Per the Clarendon County Treasurer’s Office, we will be
converting all customers on the Clarendon County Water System to automatic bank
draft payment. This will be implemented at no cost to you, the customer. You may
also mail in your payment or bring it by our office in person at the County
Administration Building, located at 411 Sunset Drive in Manning.

Repeal of Boil Water Notice – Jeff Drive

Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents of Jeff Drive (near HWY
260), located in Clarendon County, that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking
or cooking. Bacteriological samples were collected from the drinking water system serving the
community. The results of this sampling indicated that the system is now safe to use for drinking
and cooking purposes.

Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents of Jeff Drive (near HWY
260), located in Clarendon County, to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute
prior to drinking or cooking. This is due to repair of a water line.
