We regrettably have made the decision to cancel the Aviation Celebration scheduled to be held at the Santee-Cooper Regional Airport this Saturday, September 23, 2023 due to the increasing potential for inclement weather from a sub-tropical system expected to form off of the East Coast.

Recycling Centers Closing Early
Due to the approaching storm, the Clarendon County Recycling Centers will close Wednesday, August 30 at 3:00PM. They will reopen at 7:00AM on Thursday, August 31 providing there are no power outages.
County Government Offices Closing
Clarendon County Offices will close on Wednesday, 8/30/23 at 3:30p and re-open at 10:30am on Thursday, 8/31/23.

The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents served by the referenced water system that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents of Lake Marion Shores, located in Clarendon County, to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking. This is due to repair of a water line.
Repeal of Boil Water Notice – Lake Marion Shores
The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents served by the referenced water system that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking. Following disinfection and an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected from the drinking water system serving the area. The results of this sampling indicated that the system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.
