Under general supervision, performs routine to moderately complex and specialized clerical work in support of voter registration and election operations. Must Identify technology need and make recommendations to Executive Director decision-makers. Must be able to update technological equipment in the warehouse. Work involves compiling and processing all applications; proofing and signing cards; and filing applications. Maintains system files and records from SEC and other states to include, deceased, convictions, registered twice, and out of state voters; receives returned jury notices from another department to process; answers main telephone line; and assists the public. Supports other office staff with elections and absentee voting. Must have knowledge of the names and locations of voting precincts and must be aware of County/State/Federal voting laws. Employee must exercise some independent judgment in properly completing assigned tasks. Employee must also exercise tact, courtesy, and firmness in frequent public contact. Performs related work as required. Reports to the Director of Voter Registration and Elections.
