Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by Clarendon County . The results of this sampling indicate that the system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.

Outreach Assistant

Full-time, non-exempt position. Major responsibilities include managing community partnerships with outreach routes and stops, driving and maintaining the bookmobile and materials, assisting in developing programs and services, and supporting programming and circulation staff. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree, or the equivalent postsecondary education, is required. Customer service and 3-5 years of library experience preferred. A valid South Carolina driver’s license is also required.

Deputy Chief EMS

The purpose of this position is to manage the operations of the EMS division of Clarendon County Fire Rescue. This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports. Associate degree in Fire Science or closely related major. Ten (10) years of fire suppression and paramedic experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. National Registry Paramedic Certification. South Carolina Paramedic Certification. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

Chief Financial Officer

This position oversees all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions of the County and is responsible to plan, control, design and implement all financial activities in compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board accounting standards, regulations and legal requirements. Responsible for the development of reports, financial statements, coordination of external audit and actionable recommendations on both organizational strategy and operations.  Functions reporting to this position include accounting, payroll, accounts payable and budget.

The primary duties will include, but not limited to primarily responsible for the daily operation of the criminal court (felony) within the magistrate court. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to: preparation and distribution of warrants, filing, scheduling for criminal court, notification to law enforcement officials, victims and defendants of trial dates and times, accurate disposition of warrants after trial and maintenance of a filing system regarding warrants. .
